The Philippine Government had recently signed a Letter of Intent with with the Government of Yukon to establish a framework to plan for immigration programming and improved cooperation on human resource development between the Philippines and the territory of Yukon.

The Territory of Yukon is the smallest and westernmost of Canada’s three territories.

The predominant religion in Yukon (39.6%) is Roman Catholicism.
YUKON AND PHILIPPINES TO WORK TOGETHER TO BRING 2000 NEW JOBS TO CANADA
The Government of Yukon and the Philippine Government will work together to match OFWs with available jobs in Canada under the Yukon Nominee Program.
With the territory’s labour and population requirements, the two governments will work together to find opportunities for OFWs to go to Canada and apply for Permanent Residency under the Yukon Nominee Program.
Both governments will also cooperate in establishing the system of recruitment, protection and placement of OFWs bound for Yukon.
A new public information campaign will be launched by the Yukon government to provide details about the Yukon Nominee Program.
The Letter of Intent was signed by Yukon Minister of Economic Developement Ranj Pillai and Bello.
